Terms of Service & Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: Draft Mockup

1. Booking and Confirmation

All bookings, custom itineraries, stays, and vehicle rentals requested through the Dana Trails platform are subject to availability and manual verification by our on-ground team in Manali. Booking confirmation requires a partial deposit, with the remainder payable prior to or during pickup, as agreed during consultation.

2. Cancellation & Modification Policies

Mountain travel is subject to sudden changes due to weather, road blockages, landslide risks, and government directives. Our cancellation guidelines are structured as follows:

  • More than 15 days prior to arrival: 90% refund of the deposit amount.
  • 7 to 15 days prior to arrival: 50% refund of the deposit amount.
  • Less than 7 days prior to arrival: Deposits are non-refundable but can be converted into a travel credit for future bookings (subject to cottage & vehicle availability).
  • Force Majeure (Landslides, Road Blocks, Pass Closures): In the event of road closures preventing access, we offer flexible rescheduling options or alternative tour layouts. Refunds are subject to partner hotel/operator policies.

3. Vehicle Rental Terms

Renters must possess a valid, physical government-issued driving license. Self-drive rentals are subject to safety restrictions and security deposits. In case of vehicle damage, the renter is liable for repair costs up to the security deposit limit, unless negligent operation is proven.

4. Safety & Liability Disclaimer

High-altitude trekking, adventure sports (paragliding, rafting), and driving on mountain pass roads carry inherent risks. Dana Trails partners with certified local operators and guides, but is not liable for injury, loss, or delay caused by natural disasters, physical accidents, or passenger negligence.
